Pietrantica Holiday Farm
Pietrantica Holiday Farm is in Decontra, a hamlet in the heart of Majella National Park. Come enjoy an experience in close contact with nature Pietrantica Holiday Farm, managed by Camillo and Marisa Sanelli with grandpa Paolino, is in Decontra, a tiny hamlet 900 metres a.s.l. in the heart of
Majella National Park. The farm comes from the skilful restructuring of old barns, respecting the original techniques and materials: Majella stone, wood and terracotta.
Since 2000, our organic farm has been promoting a local development project within
Majella National Park, aimed at sustainability and currently certified by the international organisation PAN PARKS, with which we collaborate to promote responsible tourism.
Our structure
The interiors were restructured respecting the original architecture, and consist of six rooms with bathroom and two apartments with kitchenette and fireplace; all of them are completely independent, comfortable and cosy, each furnished in an individual style, and provided with heating.
Our Majella National Park
The pretty old town of nearby Caramanico has a beautiful church, shops, cafés, restaurants, and the spa centre, ideal for massages and numerous spa treatments. Around Decontra, we recommend visiting the Giumentina valley: an important archaeological site from the Palaeolithic (you can see the finds and learn about Majella history at the Paolo Barasso visitor centre in Caramanico).
