Frignano Regional Park, in Upper Appennino Modenese, is described here in the four seasons. The over 15,0000 protected hectares of the Park give shelter to animals and plants that make these mountains, the highest summits of the northern Apennines, similar to the not far summits of the alpine chain. The Golden Eagle is the most spectacular protagonist of this fascinating territory: besides living in the high-mountain grasslands, it demonstrates unexpected forms of adaptation also to the large woodlands of the Apennines.
