The online magazine "Appennino Lucano In Basilicata" represents the first result of the more general "Piano per la Ricerca la Comunicazione e la Promozione dell'Identità" realized by the Parco Appennino Lucano thanks to the commitment of a dedicated commission.
In order to respect environmental sustainability, the Park chose an online magazine, quarterly, and that could be read on this website as a flipping-book which can be also downloaded in Pdf format.
"The contemporary communication scenario", as read in the presentation of the magazine by commissioner Totaro, "has been recording for several years now a strong interest from the institutions in the development and exploitation of innovative digital publishing channels at quite sustainable cost". As for the motivations behind the publishing project, the commissioner explains how "the Park Authority's idea of an online magazine with free access is identified as one of the most effective strategies to allow, for the purposes of the greatest transparency, systematic access to information and the informed participation of a large audience in the Authority's decision-making processes".
