Beyond St Nicholas Church, after crossing the Bridge on Alcantara, follow the SS road and, after reaching junction Galluzzo, you will find the beginning of the trail leading to Castiglione di Sicilia, one of the largest Municipalities of the Province of Catania, developing between Alcantara Valley and the territory of Etna, up to the central craters of the Volcano. The town lies at about 621m asl and is the epicenter of several villages-country hamlets along the trails of the excellent D.O.C. wines of (Passopisciaro, Rovittello, Solicchiata, and Verzella country hamlets) but also among the heady fragrances of orange blossoms of Mitogio and Gravà.
