It is a ring-route giving the opportunity to visit the main points of interest of the Alpe all in one go. Moreover, in two hours time, it offers many ideas for much more detailed visits. From the entrance of the Alpe, the so-called "purteja", turn left in the direction of Cianciavero, one of the five villages consisting of characteristic mountain huts made of stone and covered by "piode". From here, a 15-minute detour leads you to the area of the glacial kettles of Rio Cianciavero. When you leave Cianciavero, you get to Aione and Ponte, where a trail leading to "Lago delle Streghe" leaves before reaching the so-called "isola" ("island"), where you will find the shop, the campsite, and the picnic area. After the bridge on rio Mottiscia, you can follow the watercourse until you find the mineral spring. The following stop is the rural settlement of Cornù and the wonderful Frua waterfall, at the foot of which it is possible to admire the old lime-kilns. Going ahead along the "vaccaresc" you get to La Balma, another rural settlement and departure point of the traverses to Alpe Devero and to Ciamporino. Setting out again on the trail you go back to the departure point. Close to it there is the archaeological site, where Mesolithic finds have been discovered.
