The huge and fascinating Buscagna valley is one of the characteristic alpine environments of the Park ideal as the habitat of the wildlife. In its huge subalpine grasslands, stretches of rhododendron and bilberries, larch woodlands which in the autumn take on wonderful colors, it is possible to find wild goats, chamoises, marmots, hares, ermines, black grouses, Alpine newts, common frogs, Tengmalm's owls, common owls, and a number of bird species nesting here.
