The pictures and texts contained in this volume do not have the ambition to present all the aspects of the alpine area between Colli di Tenda and Maddalena, between the Piedmont plain and the Mediterranean. Nor they aim at describing the daily commitment for the conservation of this great heritage by Alpi Marittime and Mercantour parks.
They are mere fragments, small but precious tesserae of an extraordinary eden deserving to be known, experienced, respected.
They are a tribute to a space without frontiers, a mineral world that has been for millennia the shelter of men, plants, and animals.
