From the valley bottom, along mule tracks and trails carved in the hard and dark rocks, the route leads you to discover two particularly charming and ancient mountain panoramic settlements: S.Vigilio and Monti. The ancient human presence - dating back to prehistory - has partly shaped the harsh slopes with wonderful terraces supported by dry-stone walls and the creation of surprising itineraries. Also the signs of faith are present and represent reference points which still today preserve and hand down their devotional value.
Points of Interest: several panoramic views over the valley along the trails; the charming settlements of S.Vigilio and Monti; Madonna Addolorata Sanctuary in Piazza and Madonna del Dosso Lungo Sanctuary; terraced slopes (between Monti and Bessimo di Rogno); huge erratic boulder, above Piazza; chestnut tree woods along the whole route.
