The volume focuses on the results of a research activity on the nesting birds carried out in spring 2005 in Appia Antica Regional Park in Rome (Central Italy). The research area has been divided into 138 Survey Units (each of 500m of side, UTM grid), in the middle of which listening stations with a consolidated method have been carried out. The result is an Atlas providing the distribution of the 57 analyzed species, considered potentially nesting in the Park (including 19 non Passerines). To these, 16 species not analyzed during the research activity must be added, since their nesting activity in the area is known (also including nocturnal and twilight species).
