Masone welcomes into the Stura Valley visitors who come down from the Turchino Pass. It's a summer retreat with a historical center clinged to the hill, along which is still visible the long cordon of row houses where once blacksmiths lived since the main activity in the area related to steel and iron.
Surrounded by woods rises the Sanctuary Madonna della Cappelletta where every 2nd of July the inhabitants of Masone go in pilgrimage to thank the Virgin for saving them from the plague of 1656.
You can't miss a visit to the Civic Museum, which tells of when the main occupation in the valley was the working of iron, the Waterfalls of Serpente or hiking along the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri.
