Via Chiesa - Valle S. Giorgio (Baone)
Villa Mantua Benavides was built at the end of the 16th century by the heirs of Marco Mantua Benavides (1489-1582), the most illustrious member of the Spanish family of the same name. During the 17th and 18th century, the villa was used as a recreational palace for the Spanish family and its guests. In 1762, the last member of the Mantua Benavides family died; Bishop Giustiniani rented the villa as clergy house, thus linking the building to the parish.
