Battaglia Terme old town.
The park, created in 1936, is the feather in the cap of the "Pietro D'Abano" thermal resort, formerly owned by INPS and now a property of Region Veneto. It was famous for its Italian garden with pavilions and fountains, some of which fed with thermal water; for its wide walkways shaded by magnolias and lime trees; and for its lawns and patches of ashes, conifers and poplars, covering about 9 hectares. When part of the INPS thermal resorts were closed in 1991, the Park went through years of neglect and degradation.
