Parco Naturale Collina di Superga |
The Park belongs to a hilly system whose morphological variety and position guarantee the presence of a rich and interesting floristic heritage, including microthermal species (beech tree, Scots pine, whitebeam, bilberry) alternating with Mediterranean species (manna ash, service tree, butcher's broom, burning bush). The most widespread formations consists of broadleaf mixed forests dominated by oaks and chestnut trees, cultivated until a few decades ago for firewood and fruits. |
