| Corno alle Scale Regional Park is very important from a naturalistic point of view since it is characterized by a rich variety of floristic and wildlife species, geological and mineralogical features, and beautiful landscapes (like the spectacular Dardagna Waterfalls or Orrido di Tanamalia waterfalls). The most interesting aspect is that on the one side, the Park geographical and orographical features have led to the development of environments typical of the Apennine chain which are extremely rich in vegetation, flora, and fauna; on the other side, the highest peaks, like Corno alle Scale, La Nuda, Mt. Cornaccio, and Mt. Gennaio have maintained their alpine habitats. |
