Parco Regionale del Corno alle Scale

For centuries, herds of sheep and wild horses grazed on the Corno's gentle western slopes, once known as Alpe di Rocca Corneta and now utilized for winter sports. Reduced grazing activities in the recent past have allowed the return of a part of the bilberry heaths, which represent the spontaneous vegetation above the park's forest limits.
