Parco Regionale del Corno alle Scale

Mount La Nuda rises north of the Corno alle Scale mountain ridge and the Vallone Pass separates the two. Its forestless peak is covered in bilberry heaths and stony grasslands that are home to rare rupicolous plant species. The view from its summit extends over a large portion of the park, facing the spectacular east face of the Corno and the entire range of mountains forming the Silla valley head. Further away to the west, the lovely walls of the Riva Mountains and Mount Spigolino are dominated by Mount Cimone, rising at a distance behind them. To the north, the distinctive outlines of Mounts Vigese and Montovolo can be seen amidst the rounded contours of the hills descending to the plain.
