Parco Regionale del Corno alle Scale

The spectacular ridge of the Riva Mountains, which marks a long stretch of the boundary between the Corno alle Scale and Alto Appennino Modenese regional parks, was, for centuries, a border area and the arena for ongoing disputes and military action. Today, after so much conflict, this stunning rock buttress is finally an oasis of peace and the ideal spot for pleasant hikes offering a variety of geological and natural attractions and breathtaking views.
