Parco Regionale Veneto del Delta del Po

Ameiurus melas, known as black bullhead, is a freshwater fish belonging to the Ictaluridae family. It is one of the most characteristic species of the Po Delta freshwater canals.
The body is clab shaped and without scales. Its length ranges from 30 to 60 cm. Its maximum weight is around 3 kg.
