Products: Fish

The Agricultural Products quality mark was introduced as a quality incentive in support of typical local varieties such as fine red radicchio from Treviso, variegated radicchio from Castelfranco Veneto, white and green asparagus from Badoere, (all PGI - Protected Geographical Indication), pale green radicchio (or "verdon") from Corteo di Roncade. Another priority aim is the promotion of cheeses such as PDO Casatella Trevigiana and typical local fish such as trout, eel and sturgeon from the Sile. To sell these products, systems generating economies of scale have been set up.
Considered as a resource of drinking water, the drainage basin of the Sile involves a vast area which affects the quality of the environment well beyond the geographical borders of the Park. Other crops benefit in terms of distinctiveness and genuineness. Fruit and vegetables such as peaches, peppers and the sweet potato from Zero Branco are examples of special products, closely associated with the land of origin.
