The Managerial and Didactic Center (Centro Direzionale Didattico - CDD) of the Botanic Garden, accredited C.R.I.D.E.A Center since December 2008, is situated in Marmore Waterfall picnic area, from where the trails 1-2-3 leave.
The Center, besides dealing with the study of Valnerina vascular flora in the territory of Terni, organizes guided visits along botanic itineraries for groups of tourists.
Moreover, it is possible to consult historical-naturalistic texts at the Literary Terrace, while in the scientific lab you can observe parts of characteristic plants at the microscope-stereoscope and consult the herbarium of the Center.
Besides the above-mentioned services, schools will also have the opportunity to adopt and, therefore, take care of some of the Botanic Garden sections (currently under construction).
From November to February, in dates to agree, thematic refresher courses for teachers are held by experts. Moreover, lab exercises are organized according to the program of Professor Ettore Orsomando from the University of Camerino.
Botanic Garden
The Botanic Garden is currently under construction: it will involve the area surrounding the Waterfall (S-W area of Nera River Park). The Scientific Management of the Botanic Garden is entrusted to the University of Camerino, in particular to Professor Ettore Orsomando; the A.T.I. Coordination Chair is Mr Stefano Notari.
The project, besides the plant labeling along trails 2-3 and in the most visited areas by tourists, includes an area for flowerbeds, heated greenhouses, fruit trees, as well as a pool for aquatic plants.
