Walking around Casalmaggiore Town Hall Palace and leaving Piazza Turati, the river bank is almost immediately visible. Casalmaggiore directly faces the river Po, and this makes its urban landscape very particular.
As a matter of fact, it is one of the few towns on the left bank of the river where, from the main embankment, you can enjoy the view of the waters that, halfway in their course, slowly run eastwards.
During the day, in the evening or, even better, at the sunset, a beautiful walk along the main embankment provides a romantic point of view to admire the grandeur of the river on the one side and Casalmaggiore on the other side. To feel on the border between nature, where everything flows, and the world of steadiness, where everything is marked by the rhythms and products of man.
Sitting on a bench, admiring the river, and reflecting: the peacefulness of an unforgettable moment.
