Parco del Livignese |
| The park is located in the middle of the Rhaetian Alps, between the Stelvio
and the Bernina. The area is of remarkable interest for the environment, the naturalness of the tipically alpine landscape and for the variety of the faunistic patrimony. It counts considerable groups of ungulates among the mammals, and the royal eagle and the snow-grouse as precious bird species. Given its geographical position, the park represents an important integration to the alpine system of protected areas, which includes the Parco nazionale dello Stelvio and the Engadina in Switzerland. |
