Since the beginning the Regional Committee for the Homages to the dead of Marzabotto, which was founded in 1982, has been devoting its commitment to the realization of a Documentation Center to collect materials concerning the massacre and the involved community.
In particular, the Documentation Center for the research on Nazi-Fascist massacres and war reprisals in Marzabotto was created on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the massacre to bring under one roof all that was written and produced regarding the Monte Sole massacres and the Resistance, as part of a larger study of the area's economic, political and social history.
The Documentation Center is currently managed by the Parco Storico di Monte Sole. A hardcopy archive, a library, a CD/Video archive, a photographic archive and posters can be consulted.
The Documentation Center is located in the Casa della Cultura e della Memoria di Marzabotto, in Via Aldo Moro 2.
The Center is open by appointment only: please contact Anna Salerno tel +39 051.932 525 Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm or email: anna.salerno@enteparchi.bo.it
Access to the Documentation Center is currently suspended due to ongoing reordering activities.
