From Gambarie to Monte Basilicò

The trail leading from Gambarie to Monte Basilicò is called Sentiero Verde (green trail marker and no. 210, it takes five hours back and forth). On this mountain the excursionist can enjoy an absolute silence and a surreal light. The path starts from SS road 183, 200 meters far from Piazza Mangeruca, and goes up on the right to the slopes of Monte Scirocco. It goes up to Monte Nardello, beyond the youth hostel, and on the right it entirely travels over the fir and beech woods of Monte Basilicò. At the bottom of the valley it ends on a non-asphalt road leading back to Gambarie.
