From Gambarie to Piani di Melia

The trail leading from Gambarie to Piani di Melia is called Sentiero Giallo (yellow trail marker and no. 208, it takes eight hours back and forth). First follow Sentiero Rosso up to Piano Vadi, then go straight on towards the spring Acqua del Monaco and the suggestive Passo delle due Fiumare. Then take a non-asphalt road easily leading to Piani di Melia, near the most famous pinewoods of Aspromonte. To go back to Gambarie you can go towards South, cross the "fiumara" of the Cervo, go up to Puntone dell'Albara, and go down until you reach the homonymous bridge. After crossing the bridge, the path meets on the left the way you have already taken during the outward journey.
