The itinerary Monte dell'Orgiata - Rocce san Pietro - Pietra Cappa is characterized by number 112 and takes 4 hours. After leaving Monte dell'Orgiata (603m), which can be easily reached from Natile, you arrive by following a mule track at the rocks of San Pietro (here you can see ancient pallets dug out in the rock by the Basiliean hermits). Going uphill towards the plateau of Livadoce, cross the path coming from San Giorgio (in this center there are the remains of a little medieval church); then, turn right. In this way, you will head for Pietra Cappa, crossing an ilex tree woodland and reaching the castle of S. Giorgio (677m). Here follow the track leading to Serro Alto and, after crossing the road coming from Natile, go down to the right towards the departure point.
