Parco Nazionale dell'Aspromonte

The Museum of Rural and Artisan Civilisation in Oppido Mamertina was opened in 1998 and is housed in Palazzo Grillo. The stately residence was built after the 1787 earthquake by Don Giuseppe Grillo, a nobleman of Genoese origin. Purchased by the Municipality of Oppido Mamertina, after complete restoration, the building was intended to house the Museum, Library and conference room.
