In the forest, in one of the first brickwork structures built during the pre-reclamation period, there is a Documentation Center on Education and Health in the Pontine Marshes.
The Center collects interesting documents on the activities carried out by those people who worked to guarantee to the inhabitants of the Pontina plain the rights to health service and education. In the Center, renovated in 1994, there are sections dedicated to the first teachers, the first doctors, and to the struggle against Anopheles.
The Centre can be reached on foot or by bike, following a path in the wood; along the path, a series of boards illustrates the man-environment relationship since prehistory.
