(Sabaudia, 27 Apr 17) Circeo National Park and its territory as you've never seen it. "Linea Verde" is back in the historic Italian Park to film the environments, landscapes, colours, contradictions and potential of a wonderful and varied ecosystem. A diversity of habitats that has no match in Italy: the Promontory and the coastline, along which dunes as high as 27 metres run for 25 kilometres; wetlands where around 300 bird species find refuge; a Biosphere Reserve protected by the Ramsar Convention and UNESCO; the secrets of the "Piscine" and Selva di Circe.
A close look to the coexistence and balance between agriculture and biodiversity in the voice of its protagonists, among water buffalo breedings, conventional and biodynamic agriculture.
Some numbers worth mentioning: 180 DOP, IGP, DOC and DOCG products, 193 products in the Slow Food lists, 289 traditional products according to Ministry Decree 8/9/1999 are produced in National Parks; 276,000 farms (1,432,500 hectares of agricultural land in all) are registered in municipalities belonging to national and regional parks.
During the broadcast, a picnic in one of the Park's special spots will let you know something about the Park's food products of excellence; an evocative section will be dedicated to the Carabinieri Forestry Corps, showing the release of a red kite and a peregrine falcon that have been cured and set free again.
