The Eurasian Dotterel is a rare migratory bird mainly widespread in Northern Europe. During its long journey to reach the wintering sites, it crosses some Italian areas and stops here: especially, Lombardy and, in particular, Upper Valtellina. The book deals with distribution and consistency, life habits, diet, and conservation, since it is one of the rarest species nesting in our Country.
