You can reach by car Maso Noccioli (1,489m), from which the 12 km long itinerary leaves: the itinerary takes 6 hours, and it is easy, with no difficulties.
From the Maso, following trail no. 1 towards Giogo della Croce, you will reach a forest mountain hut. Here you can admire an extraordinary mixed larch and spruce fir woodland and, uphill, also Swiss Stone Pines. Once you reach Giogo della Croce (2,053m), take trail no. 23 winding across the mountain pastures towards Forcella di Covelano (2,396m), where the downhill trail begins. The wonderful view of Val Venosta and Val Martello you can enjoy from here will be without a doubt a great reward for everyone.
Following trail no. 14a, across Göflaner Hütte (2,007 m), you can visit the famous marble quarries of Covelano. Between Malga di Covelano, where you can rest, and the departure point, Kohlplatz (1,666m) is worth a stop. As a matter of fact, here at dawn or at sunset you can observe deer and roe deer. Then take trail no. 2 to go back to Maso Noccioli
