Also this hiking itinerary, with a difference in height of about 980m, is interesting for its landscape and wildlife. The walking time for the round-trip is about 6 hours.
The itinerary leaves from Cavallar car park, but if you want to walk a little more (half an hour) you can leave from the village of Piazzola and enjoy the view of the valley, with its traditional wooden and stone "masi". From the car park, follow the signs for Lago Corvo (S.A.T. trail no. 108). You can also choose to take the forest road which, crossing a wonderful larch woodland, leads to Malghe Samocleva and Caldesa Alta, active during the summer. The lack of arboreal vegetation gives the opportunity to enjoy wonderful views of the mountain group of Val di Rabbi. 15 minutes from Lago Corvo Mountain Hut, you will find the homonymous lake occupying a large glacial cirque. In the surroundings, four smaller lakes and a series of wetlands. Not very far uphill, there is Rabbi Pass on the border with Alto Adige. On the way back, it is possible to take the downhill trail from Palù Pass (on the border with the wild Valle di Brèsimo) and from Malga Palù.
