The itinerary, until you reach Vioz Mountain Hut, is a hiking itinerary and, leaving from Peio Fonti, the outward journey only will take 6 hours. It is recommended to spare about two hour walk by using the cableway leaving from Peio Fonti, previously checking whether it is open.
As an alternative, if you prefer to carry out the whole route on foot, follow the forest road S.A.T. up to Scoiattolo Mountain Hut, the arrival point of the cableway in loc. Tarlenta. From the Mountain Hut, go ahead on foot by following trail marker no. 105 which, along "Filòn degli Uomini", goes beyond a small pass near Cima Viòz, to reach the highest Mountain Hut of Trentino, Mantova al Viòz Mountain Hut, which has been recently entirely renovated by Società Alpinisti Tridentini.
