Nationalpark Stilfserjoch

It is a protected area covering 36 ha, divided into the so-called "zona di rispetto" (area to respect) and a smaller area of about 6 ha of Nature Reserve with peat bog. The area, of particular naturalistic, botanical, and vegetation interest, was established in 1983 by Regione Lombardia and its management was entrusted to Comunità Montana Alta Valtellina di Bormio.
It can be visited by following a didactic route with observation points equipped with information panels and footbridge.
