The issue n. 50 of the book series "Centopiedi" collects 37 itineraries among the titles that have been published until now. It covers a territory including the Ossola valley and its side valleys, the Val grande National Park in particular up to the upper Verbano on the shores of the Maggiore Lake. The itineraries come from ten books among those published until now, and the authors are: Renato Boschi, Gian Carlo Castellano, Marco De Ambrosis, Diego Ferrari, Gian Luigi Ferrari, Tiziano Maioli, Marina Morandin, Nicola Pattaroni, Marco Valsesia and Davide Zaccheo.

It is a tasting of the about 200 itineraries proposed in the basic books. This work is an invite to use the texts that are already available at affordable prices, they are divided according to the specific areas usually considering one single valley or territory.
Due to the many places described and to the different methods of each author, the present book could seem as not homogeneous, but its aim is to present an anthology of the walks in the hills and in the mountains, suitable for all tastes and skills.
