The Stone-cutter Museum, located inside Palazzo Portera di Mistretta, formerly the seat of the Fauna Museum of the Nebrodi Park, represents an important testimony of the Mistretta architecture. Result of an idea of Gaetano Russo, the Museum was created to give due recognition to the precious local stone and local workers: in Mistretta, the craft of the stone-cutters has reached important quality levels, so as to be consecrated to the most noble rank of Artist.
