The volume consists of a series of essays dealing with some of the most significant aspects of the material culture characterizing an ancient breeding and agricultural universe which is still alive in the area of Valdemone and Nebrodi in particular. The volume, completed by a rich collection of images, includes the material collected as didactic support for the Regional Museum of the Breeding and Agricultural Traditions of Mistretta, a structure created by Assessorato Regionale dei Beni Culturali.
