Pinnacles like Meteors in the Heart of the Apennines |

| The protected area extends itself from the valley bottom of Panaro to the mountain slopes, safeguarding an important hilly landscape rich in history, nature, and religiousness. The pinnacles of Sassi stand out in the Park: spectacular arenaceous cliffs which, thanks to their resistance to erosion, dominate the surrounding territory. The vertical walls house a rich rocky flora, as well as the nests of the Peregrine. The natural environment of the Park is a frame to the sober Pieve di Trebbio and to the several small medieval villages dating back to the Malatigni period, a noble family of the past. |
