The S. Francesco Theatre, formerly the Monastery of the Minor Conventuals, a prison and then a home for the displaced, is the venue for important events every year (see the section of the Events Calendar site) and also houses the Silonian Museum and the Centro Studi, a conference hall and the reconstruction of the writer's Studio, a gift from his wife Darina together with a large collection of material relating to Silone's life.
In 2011, under the high patronage of the Presidency of the Republic, the Study Center promotes the itinerant documentary exhibition, dedicated to the writer of Fontamara and called "L'Arte è un fiore selvaggio, ama la libertà".
