The first part of the book is dedicated to the description of the valley's natural environments and to their transformation over the centuries through the interaction with men. A second section is dedicated to the Natura 2000 Network, that is to the description of the features and the value of the zones that are subjects of the European regulations for the environmental conservation. The third part contains the law constraints which the Sites of Community Importance are subject to. The final part suggests some places that are worth a visit. the particular and rare habitats, animal and plant species are described in the appendix.
