Riserva Naturale Salse di Nirano

The castle of Spezzano, of medieval origin, was transformed by the Pio di Savoia family, starting in 1529, into a noble palace with a Renaissance porticoed court, an elegant country residence designed to accommodate guests in the fiefdom's hunting grounds. It is the seat of the Fiorano Pottery Museum that occupies the spaces of the noble floor and the basements of the castle.
