The Fiorano Pottery Museum, established in 1996 and based in the Spezzano Castle, is a technological museum that tells the story of the production of ceramics in the territory that today is the Modena-Reggio Emilia industrial district. A long history that has its roots in the Neolithic, develops and consolidates in the second half of the XX century and is open to the challenges of the future.
Alongside archaeological finds, ceramic works and tiles, the museum displays reproductions of artifacts, ceramist tools and kilns for firing ceramics, reconstructed using experimental archaeology techniques; the ceramics workshop completes the museum itinerary.
Entrance is free.
