Area Attrezzata del Brich di Zumaglia e del Mont Prève covers a surface of about 44 hectares; its average altitude above sea level is of about 600 m, with a maximum of 699 m for the peak where the castle lies. The area is particularly steep, and for this reason is called Brich (steep hill, peak). The area is mainly covered by heterogeneous vegetation where autochthonous forest species mix with ornamental species introduced with the aim to transform the pre-existing wood in a so-called "romantic" park, also by using classic architectural elements (paths, plants, statues). The castle, of recent design, consists of only one hall, with the annexed kitchen, services, and basement where there is a reservoir for the collection of rain. The terrace and the tower are particularly charming, since here you can enjoy a wonderful landscape. The Park Authority offers the service of guided visits; there are particular activities for children, based on game or adventure; moreover, you can experiment the search for gold along the stream Elvo. Several and tested environmental education didactic projects are available for schools, summer centers, and groups of children. |
