In 2003, a new unitary project was presented by the network of parks of Piedmont and Burkina Faso. Within this initiative, the twinning between Ente Parchi Riserve Cuneesi and Nazinga Park includes the following actions, for a total value of Euros 41.000,00:
- Training in Piedmont
Organization of a 3-month stay in Piedmont, focusing on training regarding issues like tourism, park management, etc. for 3 employees of Nazinga Park (training for tourist welcome services, maintenance techniques of picnic areas, use of machine tools, etc.)
- Support to the activities on the spot
Continuation of the support to the local development activities and struggle against poverty for the villages surrounding Nazinga Park, in particular in the fields of apiculture and processing and marketing of vegetable products. Animation of groups of women dealing with fish smoking and marketing.
- Training of the groups of bee keepers
Check of functionality and eventual diffusion of kilns and solar ovens. Evaluation of eventual micro-plants for water in the villages. The University of Turin will follow the application of adequate technologies for these measures, if possible through a research activity carried out on the spot by an Italian student.
- School activities
Continuation of the twinning projects between Italian and Burkinan schools situated in the Park territory.
