Protected Areas in Saint Kitts and Nevis
Among the protected areas existing in Saint Kitts and Nevis, including National Parks, Marine Parks and Reserves, Wildlife Reserves, Bird Sanctuaries, Natural Monuments, and other areas, there is Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park.
Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site of historical, cultural and architectural significance. One of the best preserved historical fortifications in the Americas, it is located on the island of St. Kitts in the Federation of St. Christopher (St. Kitts) and Nevis in the Eastern Caribbean.
Brimstone Hill and its Fortress is a National Park which is managed on behalf of the Government and people of the Federation of St. Christopher (St. Kitts) and Nevis by the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park Society.
