Main Rest Camp |
||||||||||
The main rest camp is situated near Addo. 80 accommodation units of various types are available here. Tariffs and descriptions for all these units are shown in the table below. All of the cottages and chalets are close to the main waterhole which is illuminated at night, affording a memorable window into the real nightlife of Africa! There is a privately-run, licensed a la carte restaurant and shop in the restcamp while for those who wish to self-cater, all units are fully equipped or have communal facilities. Camp Matyholweni |

Camp Matyholweni, opened in October 2004, is the new satellite rest camp in the park. Matyholweni (which means "in the bush" in the Xhosa language) is situated in the new southern block of the park near the small town of Colchester. Access to the camp is very convenient, with the N2 highway (between Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown) a mere 3 km from the camp. The camp has 12 self-catering chalets, nine of which sleep two people. Narina Bush Camp |

The Narina Bush Camp, situated next to the Witriver and overlooking crystal clear natural pools, has four dome tents sleeping two people each. The camp is very rustic, however tents are provided with linen, firewood is available for campfires at night and paraffin lanterns are available for overnight use. The camp is named after the exquistely beautiful Narina Trogon bird, which frequents the forests of the Zuurberg. |

Kabouga Camp |

Kabouga Guesthouse The Kabouga guesthouse is a self-catering cottage sleeping six people. Situated in a magnificent natural amphitheatre setting along the route of one of the challenging mountain 4x4 trails in this section of the park, the guesthouse house sleeps six people with bedding, cutlery and crockery provided. Darlington Lake Lodge |
||||||||||
The Darlington section is situated at the most northern extreme of the park. This section is to a large extent covered by succulent Karoo with a very low rainfall. The vegetation in this section is dominated by succulent species with the Noors plant being the most dominant. The Darlington Lake, which is a man-made system, takes up a large area within this section. Accommodation is available at the privately-run Darlington Lake Lodge, which also offers game drives and boat cruises. Contact |
