The site includes the northernmost stretch of the calcareous chain of Mount Baldo corresponding to the Altissimo Mount in Nago. The lower part of the latter relief is covered with large beech forests intertwined with wide rich pastures, while on the northern slope there are spruces and silver firs.
In the upper part of the site there are alpine grasslands, large expanses of sub-Alpine shrubs (common alders and mountain pines) and rocky environments. There are habitats of particular interest not included in the Annex I of the Habitats directive: Polygono-trisetion (1%), Lappulo-Asperginetum (under-rock) (1%), Abieteti (5%).
