This small ZSC develops within the third morainic belt of the Tilaventino amphitheatre, an area characterized by an alternation of reliefs and peat bogs that were much more frequent and now drastically reduced by the agricultural reclamations. The ZSC covers a plain area of about 98 hectares, including the Municipalities of Majano and Buia, at an altitude of about 160 meters above sea level.
