With the road of Chianti and the homonymous wine produced in this region, famous all over the world, competition was not lacking. However, on the opposite slope the famous wine of Aretine hills is produced, and during the years the production of the wine growing farms increased so much and achieved such a high quality to deserve the D.O.C.G. and D.O.C. designations. The Province made a considerable effort to promote the road of wine, which already involves 131 farms. Such route combines gastronomy with the cultural, artistic, landscape, and environmental features of the territory.
