The Little Chick-pea is a product of Valdarno which has always been cultivated in Chianti, Pratomagno, and in the valley. It is a very tiny chick-pea with a very thin pod, very tasty. Like the other two legumes, it grows well in poor soils, but it requires hard toil, in particular for the harvesting and the threshing, which must be hand-made. It is usually cultivated for a family use.
